Here’s a beautiful self portrait of Brook Wassall as he wades in the returning tides of Niarbyl on the Isle of Man. This image definitely has that lone wanderer or explorer feel to it which I personally love. Timing is of the essence here as the Milky Way stands tall on a pillar of a hundred billion stars; some of its light traveling tens of thousands of years to reflect off the calm waters and into the camera’s sensor.
Here’s a twist. It’s true with anything you see in the universe but it takes on a whole new meaning when you apply it to our home galaxy.
